Installing FiveM is simple and takes under 10 minutes, but many people get stuck at various steps because they don't know exactly what to do. Below is a clear step-by-step guide plus solutions for the most common errors.
Required before you start: Original GTA V purchased (Steam, Epic Games or Rockstar Store). Without this, FiveM will not work.
What you need before you start
- Original GTA V — purchased and installed on PC (Steam, Epic Games or Rockstar Store)
- Rockstar Games account — the same one you used to buy the game
- Internet connection — minimum 10 Mbps recommended
- Disk space — FiveM itself is small, but servers can download extra resources (1–5 GB per server)
- Temporarily disable antivirus (optional, but solves many installation problems)
Step 1 — Download FiveM officially
Go to fivem.net and click the big Download button.
IMPORTANT: Download ONLY from the official fivem.net site. There are fake sites offering modified versions — avoid them completely.
